An Evening on Men's Urological Health

29 November 2023  UPMC hosted a public information meeting on Men's Urological Health in November 2023, as part of Men's Health Awareness Month. The event was open to the public and focused on prostate health, PSA testing, lower urinary tract symptoms, testicular cancer, and more.

This event consisted of two presentations followed by a live Q&A session from UPMC Consultant Urologists Mr. Kashif Siddiqui and Mr. Lee Yap. 

Mr. Kashif Siddiqui, Consultant Urologist

Mr. Siddiqui discusses lower urinary tract symptoms in men, symptoms of enlarged prostate (benign prostate hyperplasia) and the role of the PSA blood test in the diagnosis and screening of prostate cancer.

Based at UPMC Kildare Hospital, Mr. Siddiqui's specialist interest lies in uro-oncology and minimally invasive techniques in treatment of benign and malignant urological disorders. He provides a comprehensive service on all urological disorders in adults including benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), female urology, stone disease, inguino-scrotal conditions and fertility issues.

UPMC Whitfield Hospital and UPMC Aut Even Hospital

Mr. Yap discusses testicular cancer and its prevalence in Ireland along with symptoms and treatment options.

Based at UPMC Whitfield Hospital and UPMC Aut Even Hospital, Mr. Yap specialises in minimally invasive surgery, endourology for complex kidney stone disease, and benign prostatic enlargement.
