Mr. John Keane

Mr. Keane completed his medical degree at Trinity College in Dublin in 2006. He carried out his basic surgical training in Kilkenny and Waterford and then went on to complete a Masters Degree in Surgery in Trinity College Dublin. Mr. Keane joined the higher surgical training scheme in Northern Ireland in 2010 and attained his Fellowship examination in Urology in 2014. Mr. Keane was appointed as a consultant uro-oncologist in Belfast City Hospital, where he worked from 2016 to 2021. Whilst there he was the clinical governance lead for three years. He moved back to Kilkenny in 2021 and took up a post as a consultant urologist in University Hospital Waterford. His specialist interests are uro-oncology, stone and prostate disease, as well as general and core urology.
