Mr. Claudiu Cozman

Claudiu Cozman is an internationally trained urologist, with broad experience practicing medicine in Ireland, Romania, U.K. and Australia. Mr. Cozman graduated from medical school in Romania in 2010 and completed his surgical training in Ireland at University Hospital Waterford (UHW) and Galway University Hospital. He is a Fellow of the European Board of Urology since 2018 and is on the Irish Medical Council Specialist Register since 2017. Following his training, Mr. Cozman spent one year in Addenbrookes University Hospital, Cambridge, U.K., performing minimally invasive surgery in kidney cancer before obtaining a consultant post in West Suffolk Hospital, U.K.

From 2020 to 2023, Mr. Cozman undertook a three year fellowship in robotic, laparoscopic surgery and andrology at the internationally renowned Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, Australia. Whilst there, he worked alonsgide leading urological surgeons in kidney, prostate cancer and andrology. He returned to University Hospital Waterford as a permanent consultant urologist in April 2023.

Mr. Cozman is a very empathetic and enthusiastic surgeon. His special interests include:

• Robotic surgery
• Kidney and prostate cancer
• Benign prostate hyperplasia
• Stone disease

He is affiliated with RCSI and UCC and is a member of the Irish Society of Urology, European Association of Urology, Endourology Society and BAUS.
