ISMETT
ISMETT is a UPMC-managed multi-speciality hospital established in partnership with the Region of Sicily and the Civico Hospital in Palermo, Italy. ISMETT has become one of the best transplant centers in the world and is the first hospital in Southern Italy to receive accreditation from the Joint Commission International.

UPMC has successfully managed ISMETT for more than twenty years, and in December 2018 the two entities along with the Region of Sicily, signed a ten-year renewal of the longtime partnership. The agreement provides funding that will expand the number of beds at ISMETT by almost 50 percent and affirms the region’s support for a new hospital to be built in Sicily, both of which also will be operated by UPMC.

UPMC San Pietro FBF
UPMC San Pietro FBF Advanced Radiotherapy Center, in collaboration with San Pietro Fatebenefratelli Hospital in Rome, offers innovative radiotherapy treatments and stereotactic radiosurgery for patients with oncologic diseases. In 2017, the hospital successfully achieved Joint Commission International accreditation, recognition that is based on extensive review of the facility’s patient safety, quality standards and processes.

UPMC Institute for Health Chianciano Terme
UPMC Institute for Health Chianciano Terme is an advanced and integrated center for preventive medicine, with a special focus on metabolic syndrome, liver chronic disease and cardiovascular diseases. The Institute has also established an innovative and highly specialised facility for exercise and rehabilitation.

UPMC | Salvator Mundi International Hospital
UPMC began managing Salvator Mundi International Hospital in 2017, but the hospital has a longstanding reputation for excellence which has attracted both local and international patients for more than 60 years. The Rome-based facility continues to enhance and expand its services using new technologies, such as regenerative medicine.

XIMC
In 2014, UPMC and Xiangya Hospital of Central South University enhanced their decade-long research and clinical collaboration by partnering to develop Xiangya International Medical Center (XIMC). XIMC is a world-class private hospital located on Xiangya Hospital’s campus in Changsha created to help meet the needs of an increasingly diverse resident population. UPMC provides advisory services, on-site and Pittsburgh-based staff training, clinical program development, and selection and implementation of the latest health care IT solutions to both Xiangya Hospital and XIMC. In 2017, XIMC was awarded accreditation from Joint Commission International, signifying that XIMC complies with the highest international standards for safety and quality of care and commitment to continually improving patient care.

Tahoe
To meet the growing demand for high-quality cancer care in China, UPMC and Tahoe Hospital signed a five-year agreement to assist in the planning and operation of an expanded cancer center within an existing private hospital in Beijing. By teaming up with UPMC, Tahoe intends to make its Beijing Yuho Rehabilitation Hospital their organisation’s hub facility for oncology care in Beijing and the surrounding region.

UPMC has been serving as strategic healthcare advisor to Nazarbayev University and its healthcare entity the “University Medical Center” (UMC) since 2012.

Together, the organisations have made progress in establishing the foundations for a new model of healthcare that will deliver outcomes comparable to the most developed countries in the world.
