PAYMENT

Patients without private health insurance cover can self pay and receive treatment at UPMC Aut Even Hospital. This option allows patients without private cover to access the exceptional quality of care across a range surgical procedures. For questions about self-pay pricing, please contact our patient accounts department on 056-7775194.

All self-pay hospital procedure prices include the hospital technical fee and all professional fees for hospital admission. Theatre costs for the procedure(s), nursing care, accommodation, routinely used drugs, dressings, and consumables required during the inpatient stay, along with patient meals and beverages, are included in the price.

If you are due to attend UPMC Aut Even Hospital for a procedure and have questions relating to your private health insurance cover, please call your consultant’s secretary directly or our patient accounts department. Every insurance policy is different and the coverage included may change, therefore it is critical that each patient check their exact level of cover prior to admission.

We are always happy to help patients understand what, if any, cost they may incur for their procedures at the hospital. We want to make the entire process of hospital insurance cover as simple as possible. To do this, we advise a few simple steps:

  • Check the name and type of your plan
  • Check your policy number
  • Confirm the procedure name and code with your consultant’s secretary
  • Contact your insurance provider to ensure there are no exclusions under the terms and conditions of your policy
  • Call our patient accounts department on 056-7775194 with the above details

Our patient accounts team will provide you with any advice or information required and talk you through the details of your insurance cover. The patient accounts department can be contacted on 056-7775194.

UPMC Aut Even Hospital is not responsible for costs incurred if policies do not qualify at the time of admission. It is the patient’s responsibility to understand their level of insurance cover, particularly as there are many variations of plans, many of which have an ‘excess’ included by the insurer.

All hospital accounts must be settled on admission.
