Biography
Mr. Fiachra Rowan is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon and specialist in hip and knee surgery. He currently holds clinics at University Hospital Waterford and UPMC Whitfield Hospital and has a special interest in hip and knee pathologies from adolescence through old age. He is skilled in assessing and treating a wide range of orthopaedic conditions and sports medicine injuries.
Mr. Rowan graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) with honours. He trained at various hospitals in Ireland and in London, and worked at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, where he received the clinical excellence award.
He holds a doctorate of medicine from University College Dublin, is a Fellow of Trauma and Othopaedic Surgery and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine at the RCSI. He is an editorial review board member for the Bone and Joint Journal and has presented worldwide.
