Bon Secours Health System and UPMC have formed a joint venture in Cork to own and operate one of Ireland’s most advanced Radiotherapy Centres for the treatment of cancer patients. The new Centre combines the expertise of Ireland’s largest independent health care provider with UPMC’s world-renowned model of cancer care that brings innovative and personalised treatments to patients. The Centre delivers leading edge radiation technology and treatments for cancer patients.
Applications are now invited for the following full-time permanent positions at the Cork facility:
- Radiation Therapists
The Radiation Therapist, as a member of the multi-disciplinary team, is responsible for the preparation and treatment of patients with a cancer diagnosis or other benign conditions requiring radiotherapy, providing psychosocial support throughout the course of treatment. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for the justification of pre-treatment imaging and accurate treatment delivery. S/he must adhere to and implement all radiation safety regulations in their work environment, must assess the quality of their own work on a continuous basis and engage in continuous professional development in line with the state registration guidelines of CORU.
- Completion of a qualification in Radiation Therapy recognised by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU
- CORU Registration
- 1 Years’ experience desirable
Performs in accordance with system-wide competencies/behaviours.
Performs other duties as assigned.
