UPMC Whitfield Hospital in Waterford will open a new state of the art Cardiac Catherisation Laboratory in January 2020. This development will employ the latest technology and will offer a broad range of the latest invasive cardiac procedures to complement our existing cardiology services at Whitfield.
As part of this development, we are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic Chief Clinical Physiologist. This is a key appointment which is central to the commissioning, staff training and the future effective management of this cath lab service.
Applicants for this post should be suitably qualified and should already have significant experience in a similar cath lab environment. Clinical expertise together with an ability to efficiently manage and develop this service are key attributes of the post.

The successful candidates will play a lead role in the planning and co-ordination of a new Cardiac Cath Lab services at UPMC Whitfield and will have a proven track record in the efficient management of such resources. The successful candidate will work as an integrated part of the Cardiology team and will also contribute to the training and support of other physiologist within this specialized area.
